I work in Burlington, Vermont everyday armed with an iPhone camera, my quick reflexes, and my even quicker wit. I've given myself three basic rules to work with... 1) I get one shot at a photo. 2) I allow myself only one chance to make any edit or alterations to that shot. And 3) the title of the photo must be the first thing that springs to mind; no second chances.

John, I usually “get ” your captions right away, but this one has me stumped. Something’s off…. i’m stumped by the title. But beyond that, I think this is an exceptionally beautiful photo. The wood makes me think you are still delivering mail in the old North End. Hope all is well with you. It’s been years since I met you on St. Louis St. I appreciate your keeping me on your mailing list. Cheers, Sharry Goldman

Alright, alright…. so maybe it wasn’t my finest title ever… But when I happened upon the scene, with the wonky unlevel door and the creepy doll staring at me, my first thought was, “something’s off”. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. Thanks for continually following my photos, I’ll always fondly remember meeting you on St. Louis Street that day many years ago.
